Department of Arabic Language

Overview
The Department of Arabic Language was established in 1992, and its first cohort graduated in 1996. Over the years, the department has diligently worked to provide qualified teachers to Tikrit Governorate and other governorates across the country, focusing on linguistic accuracy and refining the literary style of Iraqi individuals.

During these years, the department has organized numerous scientific seminars, conferences, poetry and theatrical sessions, and cultural events, notably two distinguished conferences on Arabic manuscripts. The department has also hosted many esteemed experts and senior professors from within Iraq and abroad, particularly Prof. Dr. Fadhil Saleh Al-Samarrai.

Currently, the department comprises more than sixty academic staff members, and the student body exceeds one thousand students. Both the morning and evening undergraduate programs attract students from all regions, while the postgraduate program enrolls over two hundred students.
