In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

All praise is due to Allah, and may peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and all his companions.

Dear visitors,
It is my pleasure to welcome you to the official website of the College of Education for Human Sciences at Tikrit University, a distinguished academic institution with a proud legacy of educational and scientific contributions.

Our college represents a continuation of the College of Education established in 1992. As the fourth college founded at Tikrit University—following the Colleges of Education for Women, Medicine, and Engineering—our institution has grown significantly in both undergraduate and postgraduate studies. In 2013, it was officially divided into two separate colleges: the College of Education for Pure Sciences and the College of Education for Human Sciences, pursuant to University Order No. (7/39/13237) dated 26/08/2013.

The college now comprises seven academic departments:

  • Arabic Language

  • English Language

  • Art Education

  • Educational and Psychological Sciences

  • History

  • Geography

  • Quranic Sciences

With a clear vision and dedicated mission, we aim to equip our students with high-level academic knowledge, modern skills, and ethical values. Our graduates—numbering over 13,000 postgraduates and thousands of undergraduates—are empowered to meet the needs of society and excel in today’s competitive job market.

The college is home to:

  • 59 fully equipped classrooms

  • 4 thesis discussion rooms

  • A computer lab and internet hall for up to 50 students

  • A comprehensive library serving more than 80 students, with diverse academic resources

  • A GIS lab for Geography students

  • A technical workshop for Art Education students

Currently, we have 5,382 students enrolled in both morning and evening programs, and 382 postgraduate students admitted for the academic year 2024. Our academic team includes 335 faculty members with various academic ranks and 104 administrative staff members.

As part of our strategic development, we are actively working to enhance quality assurance and academic accreditation. Specialized committees have been formed to focus on community service, institutional performance, and academic development. We are proud of the progress achieved thus far and remain committed to continuous improvement.

May Allah grant us continued success in serving our university and our community.
