Vision of the Department of Geography

The vision of the department, as a continuously developing discipline in its curricula and techniques, is to prepare a generation of students eager to serve the nation through an in-depth study of all geographical data

Mission of the Department of Geography

The mission of the Department of Geography is to prepare a generation dedicated to serving the nation, characterized by scientific competence and national responsibility, and well-versed in geographical methodologies and academic subjects. The department seeks to qualify its graduates to work in education and related institutions, while striving to achieve the ultimate goal of formulating effective and purposeful strategies that contribute to the proper advancement and sustainable development of the country.

Objectives of the Department

• To provide the Ministry of Education with qualified staff capable of teaching geography in intermediate and secondary schools.

• To grant undergraduate students a Bachelor’s degree in Geography that qualifies them to teach in intermediate and secondary schools.

• To grant postgraduate students Master’s and Doctoral degrees in both Physical and Human Geography, enabling them to teach in universities and institutes, as well as to conduct specialized research and scholarly studies in their respective fields.
