Head of the Human Rights Unit: Wissan Karim Sab’
Objectives of the Human Rights Unit:

Propose plans, programs, and procedures that enhance and protect human rights topics within public and private universities.

Receive complaints submitted by students or university staff within the unit’s scope, study them, and develop appropriate solutions in coordination with the relevant university authorities. Establish a database of audit and investigative committees related to human rights and update the data periodically.

Promote legal awareness among students and university staff by spreading the culture of human rights within the academic community.

Develop the skills of the unit’s staff and build their technical and scientific capacities through training, qualification, and implementation programs in coordination with relevant authorities.

Strengthen collaboration with civil society organizations and institutions, after obtaining the necessary official approvals.

Provide periodic reports on the activities of university units and verify achievements for submission to the Supervisory and Scientific Evaluation Authority (Human Rights Department).

Contribute to preparing studies and research specialized in the field of human rights.

Carry out any tasks and responsibilities required by the nature of the work or assigned by the Supervisory and Scientific Evaluation Authority.
