Objectives of the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit:

1. Raising awareness of the importance of counseling in assisting university students to overcome obstacles they may face—whether academic, psychological, or social—by providing advice and guidance appropriate to the nature and extent of the problem.

2. Enhancing the level of mental health, psychological well-being, and social adjustment among students.

3. Strengthening and fostering students’ motivation toward the educational process.

4. Developing and improving students’ skills in preparation for their future roles as teachers.

5. Supporting integrative relationships between the educational counselor, the administrative staff, and the teaching faculty

Duties of the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit:

1. Contributing to the improvement of students’ academic performance.

2. Organizing seminars that address important counseling topics relevant to students.

3. Identifying and supporting students with special needs.

4. Selecting the “ideal student” in each class and department according to specific criteria.

5. Organizing exhibitions on counseling-related topics in collaboration with the departments of the College.
