A doctoral dissertation entitled “The Effectiveness of an Educational Program Based on the Historical Evidence Approach in the Achievement of Fifth Literary Grade Students in History and the Development of Their Educational Values” was discussed at the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences, College of Education for Humanities, on Sunday, May 17, 2026, by the student Adnan Jassim Mohammed.

The dissertation examined the effectiveness of an educational program founded on the historical evidence approach in enhancing the academic achievement of fifth literary grade students in the subject of history, as well as its role in developing their educational and moral values. The study highlighted the importance of employing historical evidence as an active teaching approach that encourages analytical thinking, deepens students’ understanding of historical events, and promotes positive educational values within the learning environment.

The research further emphasized the significance of modern educational strategies in improving students’ academic performance and fostering critical thinking skills through interactive and evidence-based learning methods.
