The College of Education for Humanities, Department of History, discussed on Sunday (15 February 2026) the Master’s thesis submitted by the student Sabah Jassim Hamid, entitled “Al-Tabi‘i al-Jalil Al-Hakam ibn ʿUtaybah al-Kufi (Abu Muhammad) (47–115 AH): A Historical Study.”
The thesis examined the life and scholarly contributions of Al-Hakam ibn ʿUtaybah, highlighting his intellectual role and historical significance within the broader context of early Islamic history. The study addressed the political, social, and scientific circumstances of his era, as well as his influence on the development of Islamic thought and scholarship.
