A Master’s thesis was discussed at the Department of Art Education, College of Education for Humanities, on Monday (May 18, 2026), submitted by the student Dhalal Hassan Fathi Al-Douri, entitled “The Aesthetics of Symmetry in Children’s Theatre Performances.”
The research addressed the manifestations of acculturation in Arab educational theatre and their role in developing children’s awareness and shaping theatrical performances. The methodological framework presented the research problem and its significance in advancing art education, while the theoretical framework focused on the concept of acculturation and its representations in texts, performance, and scenography.
The researcher adopted the descriptive-analytical method based on a sample of three theatrical performances. The findings revealed a high presence of acculturation, particularly in relation to identity, diversity, and values.
