Ph.D. Dissertation at the College of Education for Humanities Discusses “The Theological Views of Imam Abu al-Fath al-Shahrastānī in His Two Books: al-Milal wa al-Nihal and Nihāyat al-Aqdām fī ʿIlm al-Kalām – A Study of Prophecies and Samʿiyyāt as a Model

The College of Education for Humanities at the University of Tikrit, Department of Quranic Sciences and Islamic Education, held the public defense of the doctoral dissertation submitted by the student Abdulsalam Akab Saleh on Tuesday, 18 November 2025, titled:
“The Theological Views of Imam Abu al-Fath al-Shahrastānī in His Two Books al-Milal wa al-Nihal and Nihāyat al-Aqdām fī ʿIlm al-Kalām – Prophecies and Samʿiyyāt as a Model.”
The dissertation examines al-Shahrastānī’s methodological approach in theological discourse, analyzing his views on prophecies and samʿiyyāt, and exploring their impact on Islamic theological thought.
