A doctoral dissertation was defended at the College of Education for Humanities, Department of Qur’anic Sciences and Islamic Education, on Wednesday (24 September 2025), by Salwa Khalil Ibrahim, entitled:
“Tabyīn al-Hidāyah wa Tawḍīḥ al-Bidāyah by Sayyid Ḥāfiẓ Muḥammad ibn Aḥmad ibn al-Shaykh Muṣṭafā al-Kaddūsī (d. 1253 AH): From the Beginning of the Manuscript to the Chapter ‘What Invalidates Prayer and What Is Disliked in It’ – An Edited, Annotated Critical Study.”
The dissertation aimed to edit, verify, and annotate a significant fiqh manuscript from the 13th century AH, shedding light on its scholarly value and making it accessible to researchers in the fields of Islamic jurisprudence and manuscript studies.
