On Sunday, September 14, 2025, the Department of History at the College of Education for Human Sciences held the defense of a Ph.D. dissertation by the student Ilaf Ne’mah Mohammed, entitled “The Impact of Abbasid Caliphal Decisions on the Economic Sector (132–247 AH / 749–861 AD).”
The dissertation examined the economic implications of key administrative, fiscal, and political decisions taken during the early Abbasid era, shedding light on their role in shaping economic policies and influencing trade, taxation, and financial stability in the caliphate.
