Under the patronage of the President of University of Tikrit, Professor Dr. Waad Mahmoud Rouof, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education for Humanities, Professor Dr. Imad Hamid Ahmed, the College organized its central graduation ceremony for the academic year 2025–2026, titled the “Lions of Mesopotamia” cohort, on Wednesday morning (May 6, 2026), at Al-Khwarizmi Hall. The event was attended by a wide academic and official presence, including deans of various colleges, faculty members, and the graduates’ families.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the Iraqi national anthem and the anthem of the University of Tikrit, in addition to a documentary video highlighting the achievements of the college. The program continued amid an atmosphere of pride and celebration, marking the graduation of a new cohort of students after years of academic dedication and perseverance.
In his speech during the ceremony, the University President affirmed the university’s commitment to fostering an advanced academic environment that contributes to preparing qualified graduates capable of meeting labor market demands and serving state institutions. He emphasized the importance of continuous skill development and lifelong learning to keep pace with rapid scientific and technological advancements.
For his part, the Dean of the College expressed his pride in the graduating class, noting that the students represent the outcome of sustained academic and educational efforts undertaken by the college and its faculty members to prepare competent professionals in the humanities disciplines. He stressed that this occasion represents a pivotal milestone in the students’ academic journey, transitioning them from the stage of learning to active contribution and engagement in societal development, wishing them continued success in their future endeavors.
The ceremony concluded with honoring the graduates. At the end of the event, the Dean presented a commemorative token of appreciation to the University President in recognition of his continuous support and commitment to enhancing the college’s academic standing. The celebration ended with group photographs of the graduates with the University President and faculty members, reflecting the spirit of achievement and institutional belonging.
