Professor Dr. Imad Hameed Ahmed, Dean of the College of Education for Humanities, chaired the seminar organized by the Women’s Affairs Unit at our college, in cooperation with the Center for Continuing Education, titled “With the Word We Rise: A Journey Toward Awareness and Life” under the slogan “The Light of the Word... A Right for All” on Tuesday, August 12, 2025.
The seminar aimed to raise societal awareness about the importance of literacy as a right for everyone rather than a secondary option. It highlighted the impact of reading and writing in protecting individuals and society, and promoted the concept of protection and prevention through acquiring knowledge and the ability to access accurate information. Additionally, it sought to disseminate the culture of rights related to education and knowledge, emphasizing that education is not a luxury but a necessity for a dignified life based on the pillars of protection and prevention.
