Tikrit University Holds Its Seventeenth Scientific Conference to Discuss Outstanding Graduation Research in the Humanities

Under the patronage of the President of Tikrit University, Professor Dr. Waad Mahmoud Raouf, and with the supervision and attendance of the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Hassan Hussein Ibrahim, the University held its seventeenth scientific conference dedicated to discussing outstanding undergraduate graduation research in the humanities, at Al-Khwarizmi Hall.

The conference commenced with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, followed by the Iraqi national anthem, and the recitation of Al-Fatiha in honor of the martyrs of Iraq. This was followed by the university anthem, in an atmosphere characterized by a strong sense of pride and institutional belonging.

Subsequently, the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of supporting scientific research and enhancing the quality of its outputs across various humanities disciplines. This was followed by a speech from the Dean of the College of Education for Humanities, Professor Dr. Imad Hamid Ahmed, in which he highlighted the role of humanities colleges in strengthening academic rigor and developing students’ research skills.

The conference was attended by a number of deans of humanities colleges, along with a distinguished group of academics and researchers. A selection of research papers—carefully chosen by the colleges as among the best and most distinguished graduation projects at the departmental level—were presented and discussed, reflecting innovative ideas and sound scientific approaches.

The event also included the honoring of faculty members who participated in evaluating the research, in recognition of their academic efforts and their vital role in supporting students and enhancing the quality of research outputs at the University.
