Under the patronage of the President of Tikrit University, Professor Dr. Waad Mahmoud Raouf, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education for Human Sciences, Professor Dr. Imad Hamid Ahmed, the Department of History at the College, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center, held a scientific course entitled “The Importance of Studying Historical Manuscripts” on Tuesday, 23 December 2025.
The course aimed to highlight the scientific and cognitive value of historical manuscripts and their role in documenting events and preserving cultural and civilizational heritage. It also sought to explain the academic methodologies for dealing with manuscripts, as well as the principles of their critical editing, verification, and scholarly study in accordance with sound academic standards.
This course comes as part of a series of scientific activities organized by the College of Education for Human Sciences, in line with its vision to support scientific research and contribute to the advancement of the academic process.
