Under the patronage of the President of Tikrit University, Waad Mahmood Raoof, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education for Humanities, Imad Hamid Ahmed, the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences at the College of Education for Humanities, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center, organized a scientific seminar entitled “Psychological and Physical Effects on University Students During the Final Examination Period” on Sunday, May 17, 2026.
The seminar aimed to highlight the most significant psychological and physical effects that university students may experience during the final examination period, as well as the psychological and emotional pressures imposed by this stage, which may negatively affect students’ academic performance and overall well-being. The seminar also sought to present scientific and counseling approaches that contribute to alleviating these pressures and promoting psychological and physical balance among students.
The seminar included several themes focusing on identifying the causes of stress and anxiety associated with examinations and their impact on the psychological, behavioral, and physical aspects of students’ lives. In addition, a number of guidelines and recommendations were presented regarding time management, organizing study schedules, and adopting healthy habits that help enhance concentration and achieve psychological stability during examinations.
This seminar comes within the framework of the scientific and awareness activities regularly organized by the College to support students and foster a healthy academic environment that contributes to academic excellence and success.
