Under the patronage of the President of Tikrit University, Professor Dr. Waad Mahmoud Raoof, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education for Humanities, Professor Dr. Imad Hamid Ahmed, the Department of English at the College, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center, organized a scientific course entitled “The Effect of Social Media on Youth and Their Use of Code-Mixing” on Thursday, February 12, 2026.
The course was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Hana Qaisar Hamdi and Assistant Lecturer Samaa Satti‘ Ismail, as part of a series of scientific activities that the College of Education for Humanities is keen to organize in support of the academic process and in reinforcement of the University’s role in serving the community and fostering individuals on sound scientific and ethical foundations.
