Under the direct guidance of the Dean of the College of Education for Humanities, Prof. Dr. Imad Hamid Ahmed, and under the supervision of the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Adel Saleh Alawi, the College of Education for Humanities at University of Tikrit organized a large-scale tree-planting campaign on Thursday (March 19, 2026) on the occasion of National Tree Planting Day.
The campaign was carried out with the participation of faculty members, staff, and students from the College’s seven academic departments. During the campaign, a large number of trees and various plants were planted, carefully selected to suit the environmental characteristics of the location.
In this context, the Dean of the College emphasized the importance of such initiatives in enhancing environmental awareness among students. He also noted that the primary objective of this campaign is to promote the spirit of solidarity, cooperation, and mutual support among members of the academic community, as well as to encourage efforts aimed at strengthening green spaces and improving the aesthetic appearance of the College environment.
