Under the directive of the Dean of the College of Education for Humanities, Prof. Dr. Imad Hamid Ahmed, the Human Rights Unit at the college organized an awareness campaign today, Tuesday (18 November 2025), on the occasion of the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty.
The campaign included the distribution of posters and awareness guidelines aimed at promoting the importance of social solidarity and strengthening a culture of poverty reduction. It highlighted the concept of poverty, its causes, and its social and economic impacts, as well as the necessity of supporting vulnerable groups and enabling them to access their basic rights.
The campaign also sought to emphasize the humanitarian and educational role played by academic institutions in raising awareness of sustainable development issues. It encouraged students to engage in community initiatives that contribute to increasing awareness of poverty as a shared social responsibility.
The Deanship of the College of Education for Humanities, represented by Prof. Dr. Imad Hamid Ahmed, commends the efforts of the Human Rights Unit for organizing such meaningful awareness campaigns, wishing them continued success and dedication in serving the college and our esteemed university.
