The Dean of the College of Education for Humanities, Prof. Dr. Imad Hamid Ahmed, received today, Tuesday, January 13, 2026, the President of the Andalusian–Morisco Academy in Iraq and the Middle East, Prof. Dr. Murtadha Kamal Al-Yasiri, along with his accompanying delegation. The meeting took place on the sidelines of their participation in the scientific course organized by the College entitled “The Andalusian Muwashshah in Morisco Heritage: Continuity of Form and Transformations of Meaning.”
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to enhance joint scientific and academic cooperation and to exchange expertise in the fields of Andalusian and heritage studies, in a manner that contributes to supporting scientific and research activities and serving the academic process.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the President of the Andalusian–Morisco Academy presented a scholarly gift to the Dean of the College in the form of a book authored by him entitled “Elegy in Andalusian Prose.” In return, the Dean of the College of Education for Humanities, Prof. Dr. Imad Hamid Ahmed, presented the President of the Academy with a book he authored entitled “Linguistic Studies in Qur’anic Readings.”
