Under the direction of the Dean of the College of Education for Humanities, Professor Dr. Imad Hamid Ahmed, the faculty members of the Department of Art Education organized, on Sunday (15 February 2026), a scientific visit for a group of the department’s students to the Central Public Library in Tikrit.
The visit included an introductory presentation on the nature of the library’s work, the various sources and books it houses, as well as an explanation of the book borrowing procedures and the services provided to students and researchers. The visit aimed to familiarize students with the different types of available resources, methods of searching for them, and ways to effectively utilize them in their academic studies and research projects.
During the visit, the students conducted an extensive tour of the library’s departments, where they received a comprehensive explanation of its components, cataloguing system, and available research tools. They also explored the section dedicated to theses and academic research, which offers valuable scholarly resources for both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
This visit comes as part of the department’s commitment to strengthening the practical dimension of students’ education and enhancing their skills in using academic libraries and conducting scientific research.
