Under the direction of the Dean of the College of Education for Humanities, Professor Dr. Imad Hamid Ahmed, the faculty members of the Department of Geography organized a scientific visit on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, for a number of department students to the Central Library.
The visit included an introductory overview of the nature of the Library’s work, the resources and books it houses, as well as an explanation of the procedures for borrowing books and the services provided to students and researchers. The visit also aimed to familiarize students with the types of available resources and the methods of searching for and utilizing them in their academic studies and research.
During the visit, the students conducted an extensive tour of the Library’s sections, where they received detailed explanations about its components, cataloging system, and available search methods. They were also introduced to the section dedicated to theses and scientific research, which provides valuable academic resources for both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
This visit reflects the Department of Geography’s commitment to strengthening the practical aspect of students’ education and developing their skills in utilizing academic libraries and conducting scientific research.
