Under the patronage of the President of Tikrit University, Professor Dr. Waad Mahmoud Raouf, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education for Human Sciences, Professor Dr. Imad Hamid Ahmed, the Department of Arabic Language at our College, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Division / Unit of Women with Disabilities Affairs, and in collaboration with the Continuing Education Center, is organizing a scientific course entitled “Arabic Language and Women with Disabilities: From Linguistic Marginalization to Human Empowerment”.
The course will be held over the period 18–20 January 2026.
شThe course aims to shed light on the reality of linguistic representation of women with disabilities in contemporary Arabic discourse, to discuss manifestations of linguistic marginalization and their social, psychological, and human implications, and to promote awareness of the importance of language as a tool for human and social empowerment. It also seeks to support linguistic and humanitarian approaches that contribute to the integration of women with disabilities into society.
This course comes within the College’s ongoing efforts to support humanitarian and societal issues, enhance the role of the Arabic language in serving humanity, and consolidate the values of equality and empowerment, in line with the University’s mission and its scientific and cultural objectives.
