Under the patronage of the President of Tikrit University, Prof. Waad Mahmoud Raouf, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education for Humanities, Prof. Imad Hamid Ahmed, our College— in collaboration with the Continuing Education Center and the Women's Affairs Unit for Persons with Disabilities at the Presidency of Tikrit University— organized an awareness seminar today, Wednesday (26 November 2025), entitled:
(“The Dialogue Session Between Silence and Disclosure: A Reading in Violence Directed Toward Women with Disabilities in the University”).
The seminar, delivered by Dr. Lubna Naji, the Liaison Officer of the Women's Affairs Unit for Persons with Disabilities in our College, aimed to shed light on the forms of psychological violence experienced by female students with disabilities within the university environment, highlight its hidden and unspoken manifestations, enhance student and academic awareness of the importance of psychological and social support for women with disabilities, and promote a more inclusive and respectful university environment.
The Dean of the College of Education for Humanities, Prof. Imad Hamid Ahmed, expresses his appreciation for the efforts of the faculty members in organizing such fruitful awareness seminars.
