under the patronage of the President of Tikrit University, Professor Dr. Waad Mahmoud Raouf, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education for Human Sciences, Professor Dr. Imad Hamid Ahmed, the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at the College, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center, held an awareness seminar for first-year students on Tuesday, 30 December 2025.
The seminar aimed to raise students’ awareness of the importance of psychological counseling and educational guidance in university life, assist them in adapting to the new academic environment, and promote mental health. It also sought to equip students with skills for positive coping with academic and social pressures and for building sound university relationships that contribute to achieving academic success.
The seminar included guidance lectures and interactive discussions, which witnessed active attendance and participation by students. These activities contributed to enhancing psychological and educational awareness and clarifying the role of counseling in supporting students’ educational journey.
This seminar is part of a series of awareness activities that the College is keen to organize in support of new students and in its commitment to providing a safe and motivating university environment that encourages learning and excellence.
