The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Education for Humanities Organizes an Awareness Lecture Entitled “Raising Awareness of the Risks of Drugs and Psychoactive Substances in the University Environment: Prevention and Social Responsibility”

Under the patronage of the President of University of Tikrit, Prof. Dr. Waad Mahmoud Raouf, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education for Humanities, Prof. Dr. Imad Hamid Ahmed, the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center at University of Tikrit, organized an awareness lecture entitled “Raising Awareness of the Risks of Drugs and Psychoactive Substances in the University Environment: Prevention and Social Responsibility” for the period (March 11–12, 2026).

The lecture aims to raise students’ awareness of the health, psychological, and social risks resulting from the use of drugs and psychoactive substances, in addition to introducing their negative impacts on individuals and society, as well as the problems they create that may affect the future of young people and the stability of the community.

The lecture also seeks to promote a culture of prevention among students, highlighting the role of educational and societal institutions in confronting the phenomenon of drug abuse. Furthermore, it emphasizes the importance of social responsibility in protecting young people and guiding them toward positive behaviors that contribute to building a conscious and secure society.
