College of Education for Human Sciences, in Cooperation with the Continuing Education Center, Holds a Scientific Course for Fourth-Year Students Entitled “Empowering Student Teachers: Perspectives on Challenges and Ways to Overcome Them”

Under the patronage of the President of Tikrit University, Professor Dr. Waad Mahmoud Raouf, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education for Human Sciences, Professor Dr. Imad Hamid Ahmed, the Department of English, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center, held a scientific course for fourth-year students entitled “Empowering Student Teachers: Perspectives on Challenges and Ways to Overcome Them” during the period 4–5 January 2026.

The course, delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Ibtisam Jasim and Lecturer Aihan Abdulmunem, aimed to enhance the professional and academic competencies of student teachers. It highlighted the key challenges they face during their practical teaching placement in schools, while presenting scientific and educational perspectives on effective strategies for addressing and overcoming these challenges, thereby contributing to their comprehensive preparation for engaging in the educational field with competence and confidence.

The course covered several themes, including the development of effective teaching skills, building self-confidence among student teachers, classroom management, and dealing with educational challenges. It also provided an open forum for discussion and dialogue with students to address their questions and listen to their field experiences.
